Wow, what a ride is has been! When I started this project it was really just an evening project to play with Claude Code. But boy has it gotten a life of its own! It's just so addictive when you can suddenly build stuff that is actually useful. I would have never thought that this was possible. That I could write a V4L2 Viewer from scratch with a C++ high performance backend and a web front end including a REST API. I've heard the term many times but thought it was way too complicated and time-consuming to do. And then here we are!
This is Videre release 0.9.0 as we are not quite ready for a 1.0.0. Too little testing has been done; we've tested the basic functionality but really only on two quite simple web cams. It gets much more interesting if you use higher performing cameras. Please let me know your experiences and join the many ways to discuss:
